Alex Kathryn Interiors is a bespoke soft furnishings company specialising in making made-to-measure home interiors including curtains, blinds, cushions, lampshades, pelmets, bed dressings, swags & tails and more.

Having been brought up in a family of seamstresses and tailoresses, Alex has sewn since the age of 10. After attending Birmingham University (BAHons, MSc), she started her career in London becoming fully chartered as a surveyor (MRTPI), specialising in Built Heritage, but a career change after Covid-19 prompted her attendance at several training courses in Professional Curtain & Blind Making, Alex then worked for 2 years in both the workshop and office at a large high-end soft furnishing workshop making a diverse portfolio of bespoke work for private clients and interior designers, in addition to completing further training courses in Lampshade Making, Headboard Making, Upholstery and Surface Pattern Design & Printing.

Alex now runs Alex Kathryn Interiors making bespoke soft furnishings and has also begun running teaching courses through businesses and charities including The King’s Foundation (formerly The Princes Foundation) at Highgrove, Tetbury.
